About Damien
I am a 20 year old university student and am currently studying Musical Theater and Performance. I began studying music at 11 years old at the Drakensburg Boys Choir School and have continued since then. I have 8 years of musical experience behind me in both an academic sense and a performance one. I have completed my grade 5 in drums, grade 8 in classical singing, grade 6 in music theory, and my ATCL in musical theater all through Trinity College London. I also took music as a high school subject. All of this has equipped me to properly handle teaching both music and confidence within the music, allowing the student to become confident in his or her talent and abilities.

As a young musician I am able to utilise modern and old techniques for all areas of music. I can offer anything from beginner level of musicianship, through to high school. I specialise in vocal training and musical theory, however, have a background in piano, drums, bass guitar, and trumpet. My passion lies in musical theatre and operatic music, but have an appreciation for all kinds of music that I hope to impart on students. My lessons will be aimed at an improvement of confidence along with skills to become a competent musician in both a performance space and an academic one.
