About Ivy

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music with a concentration in vocal performance and have over seven years of experience teaching both group and private voice lessons. My professional background includes solo concert work, choir conducting, and coaching singers for stage and studio performances. My approach blends classical vocal technique with modern styles, helping each student find their authentic voice. I believe in structured, progress-focused teaching while maintaining a fun and encouraging environment. Whether you're preparing for auditions or just want to sing more confidently, lessons are crafted around your aspirations. Beyond teaching, I stay active as a performer and vocal collaborator, which keeps me in touch with both current vocal trends and timeless techniques. My aim is not only to improve voices but to empower singers with skills, discipline, and musical self-expression that lasts a lifetime.

About the lesson

Beginning singers are introduced to core techniques such as diaphragmatic breathing, proper posture, and vocal warm-ups. Early sessions focus on pitch accuracy, tone shaping, and basic scales through simple, engaging repertoire. We also build performance confidence by applying techniques to songs suited to your current vocal range.

For intermediate students, lessons move toward more expressive singing—developing dynamics, extending range, and improving vowel clarity and articulation. Students will explore phrasing, resonance, and harmony through multiple genres like pop, musical theatre, and classical. Weekly exercises focus on voice flexibility, agility, and storytelling through music.

Advanced vocalists receive tailored instruction focused on refining technique, building endurance, and interpreting complex material. Topics include mixed voice coordination, stylistic variations, emotional delivery, and audition preparation. Lessons also emphasize performance stamina and individual artistry, with repertoire chosen to challenge and inspire personal growth.
