About Mahnoor

Hi! My name is Mahnoor Ahmed and I'm a Grade AP 10 student in Milton. My interests are reading, watching Marvel movies, and playing basketball. I love playing on a team with my friends. I am a part of many extracurriculars at my school such as business clubs, health club, leadership clubs, and many sports teams. I also volunteer at a hospital and non-profit in my free time.

About the lesson

My lesson plan will be based on previous classes I have taken. I can confirm my expertise because I passed AP Math and AP Science with a 100%. I can teach elementary, middle school, and grade 9 kids. I speak Urdu and can understand Punjabi. Assessment and Diagnostics: Start by engaging in open conversations with my students to understand their areas of struggle. Encourage them to share their concerns and challenges openly. If a student is unsure about their proficiency level, I can use diagnostic assessments to identify their strengths and weaknesses. This will help you tailor my lessons effectively. Personalized Lesson Planning: As I mentioned, the lesson plan will be based on your own successful learning experiences. This is a good foundation to start from. My lesson plans will match the specific needs and proficiency level of each student. For instance, if you're proficient in Math but struggle with Science, we'll focus more on that aspect. Create a flexible lesson plan that allows for adjustments based on the progress and feedback of your students. Simplification and Detailing: Break down complex topics into simpler, more digestible parts. Start with the basics and gradually build up to more advanced concepts. While simplifying, I don't hesitate to delve into the details when necessary. Some students benefit from a deeper understanding of certain topics, especially if they've struggled with them in the past. Use real-life examples and practical applications to make concepts more relatable and easier to grasp. Visual Aids and Interactive Learning: Incorporate visual aids like diagrams, charts, and maps in your Geography lessons. Visuals can help students visualize concepts and improve comprehension. Encourage interactive learning through discussions, group activities, and hands-on exercises. Engaging students actively in the learning process can enhance their understanding and retention. Regular Progress Assessment: Periodically assess students' progress to ensure they are grasping the material. This can be done through quizzes, assignments, or informal discussions.
