About Lamon
My name is Lamon Dean, I was born & partially raised in Oakland,CA. I graduated from Bay Area Technology High School & Henry Harvin College as well, receiving TEFL certification. I am very open minded & tend to think of what would be best for others, especially when thinking of teaching styles and lesson planning. I have worked in a setting with students twice within my lifetime. The first job would be at STLCC Forest Park Community College located in St. Louis,MO, in a program called Trio Upward Bound, I’ve worked in the Campus Life department. The second job would be at a program called Higher Ground located in Oakland,CA where my position was the WorkForce Development Assistant for a youth workforce development program.

My lessons will include a variety of vocabulary practice words, sentence structure, pronunciation & punctuation, real world phrases & more. I like to give my students an audio-visual teaching method because it gives the learner a better understanding of what is being taught when they’re able to hear it as it’s taught and they could also see what’s being taught & the proper way to solve questions and problem. I am a tutor who’s willing to put in extra study time for those in need and I also like to receive student input so that the lessons could be not only knowledgeable to students but also entertaining & interesting to the student learner.
