About Gabriella

I am a violin tutor with more than five years of teaching experience and hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Historical Performance, focusing on Baroque Violin. My teaching centres on young children, helping them develop strong aural skills through playful and creative lessons. I believe that ear training is essential for confident musicianship and should begin early. To achieve this, I incorporate storytelling into lessons to make musical concepts relatable and fun. Rhythm games keep children moving and engaged, while also building coordination and timing. I use simple melodies that gradually introduce technique without overwhelming learners. My work draws from both Suzuki and Kodály-inspired approaches, which emphasise learning through listening, singing, and movement. These methods create a natural and enjoyable pathway into music. I celebrate every child’s progress, no matter how small, and foster confidence in their abilities. My lessons are designed to make children curious, motivated, and comfortable with sound. With creativity and patience, I create an environment where music feels like play. The violin becomes a way to explore stories, sounds, and imagination. I look forward to guiding young learners into a joyful and playful journey with music.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology combines violin technique with practical lessons on instrument care. I believe every violinist should know how to look after their instrument with confidence. Students learn proper handling, from holding the violin carefully to storing it correctly. I guide them through cleaning routines that are easy to follow yet effective. Lessons also include detailed instruction on string changing. Many find it intimidating at first, but with practice it becomes second nature. I also cover troubleshooting common problems such as loose pegs or buzzing sounds. These skills give students independence and security in their playing journey. I’m very good with The Content Creator and The Shower Singer, and I help them keep their instruments reliable for both creativity and relaxation. My lessons focus on clarity, patience, and encouragement. I want students to feel that violin care is part of the music itself. Knowing how to maintain the violin leads to smoother practice and better performances. You’ll gain confidence not just as a player but as a caretaker of your instrument.
