I help you read the music, and get the good basics of violin and viola. Help read the music accurately.
I offer classical and fiddle lessons. I use a variety of books. I like teaching from the Royal Conservatory Method. I teach beginner to intermediate students. I like to include theory, sight reading, technique and ear training into lessons as well.
I adjust my teachings depending on each student’s forces and weaknesses; I try to build up the weak points gradually into something better and I find pieces/exercices based on their strenghts as well.
As a teacher I have held a studio since 2012, and have studied the methodologies of Kato Havas, Paul Roland, and Mimi Zweig. I am also an accredited teacher in the Suzuki method, and have trained with Paule Barselou, and Dr. Katie Schlaikjer. I have completed violin and theory exams in the RCM method and I am able and willing to prepare students for these accreditations.
My teaching methods are primarily through experiential learning. I believe that hands on experience allows the most efficient method for learning. Im a typical class, I would go through a specific topic with a student only to have them build on it through craft and observation. Because of this form of experiential learning, nay methodology is primarily suited for students between the age of 4-8.

My teaching material is adaptable depending on the age/level of the student. I shape a progressive repertory depending on the preferred style of music. Each lessons includes a listening session and I briefly teach music history to develop my student's musical awareness.

My teaching philosophy is that learning the cello is more than getting trained technically in cello, but it is also important to develop the ability to think and sense music in a broad perspective. Thus, all lessons contain a bit of music appreciation, historical background of the piece to be learned and notions of music theory, all according to student's needs and desire.
I meet students for free for the first time to determine their level and expectations. Once the subject or problem has been identified, I prepare the courses tailored to the student. I do not use a particular method because I believe that every student is different and he needs a very unique approach adapted to the music.
My methods are planed individually, according to each student-abilities and availability. Mostly is guided by the Susuki method. I am very approachable, and some few rules I have is to stop once you get tired (physically or mentally) and to try and play the piece that you would like to play.
I can offer intensive (or regular) courses adapted to your specific needs and interests, no matter what your level. Perhaps weekly lessons are not convenient for you and you would like a crash-course to get started, or you would like to establish a method that could allow you to be a self-sufficient learner.

My lesson structure depends on the age and experience of the child. Instilling the correct playing technique is very important to me for future development of the children. I understand that lessons and practice should be something fun and that they want to do, so lessons will maintain a fun and positive atmosphere always.
My philosophy is based on a calm and relaxed approach to the instrument, with as much alleviation of tension as possible. The foundations are worked on before we attempt anything complicated. I like students to really use their ears when playing, and encourage self-reflection and observation. Improvisation plays a big role, which should also add the element of fun.
I try to combine tried and trusted teaching methods with the use of modern technology to provide lessons which appeal to a wide range of students. I try to take a flexible approach and tailor teaching material to the individual, in order that they can find their own method of expression.
I teach everyone from absolute beginners to fairly advanced students tackling real repertoire. However, in the early stages I tend to prioritise general musical skills such as playing in time, copying rhythms and learning to read notation.
My teaching method depends entirely on the student! My own musical upbringing was very structured and technique-focused; a path I'm happy to show to students who are interested in putting in the required effort.
