I specialize in working with high school and college students to improve their reading comprehension, writing, and test preparation skills. I tutor a variety of social studies and social science subjects including anthropology, geography, and history. My teaching philosophy, above all, emphasizes kindness, patience, and understanding.
I use the standard SAT books including McGraw-Hill's SAT and Barron's SAT Subject Test Math. For SAT Math, using my sample questions, I teach my students the techniques and notes for solving to the questions of the following topics of SAT: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Data Analysis, Counting and Probability, Sequences, Functions and Their Graphs, Trigonometry, and Complex Numbers.
My way of teaching is mostly based on stories. I try to involve a story if the subject and situation allows. I believe storytelling is the most excellent way to teach any lesson. I focus on providing individual attention, if a student needs it. From those stories, it becomes really easy for me to draw out examples that are closer to reality and life.
All the fun lies in making the challenging topics flow smoothly. And that's exactly what I aim for in each lesson. I understand the importance of being creative while teaching, so my lessons are not limited to just academics, they come with all sorts of interesting elements. There is no one way of doing anything.
I like to create my lesson plans based on an individual's personality so they are always engaged. I like to have a balance of fun and focus. I have always been great with children but I have also instructed many adults. I always make sure my clients and students understand what I'm teaching otherwise I will change my method based on their needs.
The schedule of lessons depends on the goal and the level of the student. Usually, the beginning of the class will be focused on technique. This will allow the students to warm up before playing their repertoires. If students have the ability, they will be given an opportunity to perform at a recital, prior to their goal.

For french immersion students I like to mix English and French because it ensures the student understands what I'm teaching. Also, I've learned that students have longer attention spans if I tutor with both languages instead of only talking in French.
I start by identifying areas of weakness and areas of strength for each student. Then help the student develop tools to address these areas of weakness. Tools that can be used throughout the students academic career and for a number of different stem courses.
I base my approach on your needs. We can either go through your curriculum or we can prep for exams, quizzes, unit tests etc. Would you prefer we delve deeper into each topic, we can do that. We can go through homework or i can easily bring extra work for us to go through.
I believe that learning needs to be fun and lessons should be shaped specifically for the student. That being said, I am extremely flexible with my student's needs. I prefer visual and kinetic learning methods, and understanding the content rather than regurgitating information.
My teaching methodology might be different from other tutors or teachers. I work with the student with various studying and learning techniques to acknowledge the most effective way for the student to learn the material in the most enjoyable way.
My teaching skills would be on the basis of performance of the student. Then I would give some techniques skills to solve the math calculations. Moreover, my teaching skills would be also depend on the syllabus and speed of school.
Adept at creating lesson plans according to the student's learning potential and gradually helping them perform better. Excellent presentation skills to help students who want better grades but are struggling. Excellent skills at motivating students to think critically and creatively. Classes meant for high school and undergraduate students in Vancouver.
My teaching methods focus a lot on the phonics system: speaking and writing are equally as important to me. I like to focus on one more than the other depending on which learning method is best for the individual student. When learning how to read, I like to incorporate phonics, rewriting, or answering questions, to engage all methods of learning English in one fun way.
My teachingstyle is leaning and solving problem at same time. I am an experienced teacher in calculus and static for first year university student. Also I have books and sample from past tutoring. I'm very patient and enjoy teaching.
My teaching methods are simple and easily understandable and I base my classes on your knowledge about the subject.
I basically focus on these things- -A desire to share love of the subject with students -Making the material being taught stimulating and interesting -Engaging with students at their level of understanding -Using teaching methods and academic tasks that require students to learn actively, responsibly and co-operatively - Valid assessment methods -Giving the highest quality feedback on...
I have a wide variety of teaching styles. I love to teach Gentle Flow and Restorative Yoga. Flow is a form of practice that is breath lead, is challenging for the body and is form of moving meditation. Restorative is a passive practice that allows your nervous system to rest and recharge. All of my classes are taught with guided intention.
The goal would be for you to feel comfortable speaking and writing in Spanish. I believe it's important to be flexible as a teacher as well as patient. I can adapt to different ways of learning. My typical class would be to focus on the basic phrases so you can travel to a Spanish speaking country without feeling uncomfortable.
My teaching methods are flexible and student centered with emphasis on connecting their learning to everyday life.
My teaching methods are: 1. Student led teaching by using graphic organizers. 2. `NO OPTING OUT' and 'COLD CALL' to ensure attentiveness and participation in discussion by each child in the class. 3. Usage of minimal invasive correction technique : non verbal corrections.
I prefer teaching according to students requirements and giving special attention to individual. Evaluation , revison and active participation is must for successful teaching results.Every student needs different approach and methodolgy to understand the subject better. Consistent and focused smart work can lead to successful career.
I like to start off my classes with some stretching and a basic warm up. After that I move in to choregraphy and take the time needed to answer any questions and assist my students the best I can. I then finish off with a second round of stretches.
My methodology is to make the subject fun and clear. I structure my lessons based on the curriculum but my theory is to make sure that students get the basics right. I use educational videos, graphics and other means of teaching to increase effectiveness.
My classes are for those who want to learn arts or crafts other than just painting on canvas. Beginners, or just curious about the medium, tools or products, try before you buy. Groups with a special event or just to gather for a meet up.
