Patient, kind and eager to help you understand the subject you are struggling with

I am very patient. I enjoy helping you obtain the foundation required to get to where you would like. For example, just because you're eager to learn hypergeometric distributions, does not mean you have an accurate background, thus my approach is to give you the tools required to learn.

Electrical Engineering graduate teaches not only Maths, Physics & Chemistry but also Year 1&2 engineering students. I always like to give lesson from the very basic. I always find the main confusions

I advise students to follow the text books. I prefer the student should provide me his/her course syllabus, so that I can prepare myself a little bit to give him/her an understandable lecture. During a class, I used to keep the text book opened in front of my student and start studying together. Whenever there is a confusion arise, I make my student clearly understood about that.

Phd Physics, MSc Chemistry and 25 years of IT experience ready to share his knowledge on-line in English or Dutch.

In a training setting, when I get questions, I first try to figure out the 'why' of the question. Is the student missing information because the theory was not understood or studied effectively. Is it a matter of skill or experience in the case of solving for instance a mathematical problem. The 'why' answer determines the next steps in the training.

Graduate student pursuing Ph.D. at UBC teaching chemistry to high school students and university level students in Vancouver.

I like to prepare my lessons based on the students' knowledge instead of general lessons for everyone. I would help them understand the concepts and prepare assignments and tests for them if necessary for more practice. I believe in inquiry based learning i.e. helping students obtain the solutions by asking them questions which would help them answer the problem instead of giving away the answer.

An Engineering student will help you, students from Hamilton to pass your Highschool Mathematics!

I am flexible in teaching academic subjects. I can use whichever resources the students have (books, handouts) and I can provide my own materials as well. The first step would be definition of words and concepts about the topic. The next thing would be a step by step solution for the sample problems. Students will get to answer on their own to master the given topic.

Most of the students find Mathematics a difficult subject because they couldn't understand proper method of it, but according to me, it is the easiest one if students focus more on the basic fundamentals and once you do that, you will be able to solve any problem that comes in front of you (even if you haven't seen that before).
