About Benjamin
While I improved my own score 20 points, I'm prouder of the fact that the students I've worked with have exceeded that achievement. I know first hand and have been shown over and over that progress on the LSAT is an achievable goal. After working with students for this long, I've grown to appreciate how valuable it is to get straightforward counsel about the LSAT. I don't give false promises or endorse gimmicks about the "secret" to the LSAT. The truth is that the path to real improvement doesn't have shortcuts, but it helps if you're following someone who knows the way.

The type of lesson is highly dependent on which of the three sections we focus on. Regardless of the section, however, the steps we work through are the following: I work, we work, you work. For example, suppose we are looking at flaw questions in Logical Reasoning:
I work: I would lay out my analysis of the text of the question, how to pre-phrase an answer, how much time should be spent on each of those steps, and work through the answer choices, showing how to break them into pieces for analysis and detailing the appropriate strategies for assessing their accuracy.
We work: I ask the student to explain how they would work through the initial steps of text analysis. Based on responses, I would ask questions to prompt the proper chain of reasoning. From there we'd turn to answer choice analysis. A similar process would unfold.
You work: I would let the student attempt a question from start to finish, uninterrupted, only questioning after their answer is given.
If there are still gaps in understanding, I'll try to reiterate and rephrase the appropriate strategies. Being able to articulate the same idea in a multitude of ways has been the reason my students recommend me to others.
