About Manoela

Hi! I'm a passionate, experienced tutor who believes that every child learns differently — and my goal is to find what works best for yours. From babysitting in high school to years of dedicated tutoring, I've always loved working with kids and helping them grow in confidence and skill.

I know math can be tricky (and sometimes frustrating), but I also know that a little support can make all the difference. Whether your child needs help with homework, exam prep, or just wants to feel more comfortable with a subject, I’m here to help.

About the lesson

Hi there! Thank you for clicking on this posting. My name is Manoela and I have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from UBC.

I understand people learn in different ways and I want to be flexible to whatever works best for you. A typical lesson plan for me can happen in three different ways.

1. You bring to me your current textbook or course material and we can solve problems together using the methods you learn in your classroom. This method works best for students that already understand the concepts but have trouble applying them.

2. If you are having problems understanding the actual concepts, I will make lecture plans where we go over these concepts from the start. This works best for students who are having trouble paying attention in the classroom. For this option it is still important you are practicing exercises outside of tutoring.

3. A mix of 1 and 2. For students that are quick learners and have a grasp of what you want to learn, we can make quick concept reviews and dive into problems together.

This add is for students learning pre-calculus 10/11/12, physics 10/11/12, or EARLIER GRADES. If you are in University/College I can provide recommendations for other certified tutors.
