About Sophie

I believe that feeling confident in yourself and your abilities will get you anywhere, and this is the motto to which I pursue my high academic achievements. I have already gained a great amount of experience in teaching as I am a current swimming instructor at my local pool, where I explain to students of all ages how to perform complex swimming skills successfully and clearly. I aspire to pursue a career in the medical field, specifically as a surgeon or doctor, fields that intrigue me due to their potential to directly impact and help people in their lives. In addition to my studies, I am involved in a variety of extracurricular activities that help me stay well-rounded and develop important life skills. These activities include being a volleyball player, going to the gym and Pilates, and going on runs!

About the lesson

Hi! My name is Sophie Kaci, and I am currently a grade 12 student enrolled in the AP and French immersion programs. I know what it takes to maintain a high average (100% in math, biology, and chemistry, 97% in physics), all the while maintaining my extracurricular and athletic hobbies. I am a native French speaker, so feel free to have a conversation with me in French! As I am always looking to help those around me, I would love to help students from grades 1-11 to reach their academic dreams/goals! I offer private tutoring for students in grades 1-11 in: - French - Science - Chemistry - Biology - Physics - Math (and precalculus) - English And any other general homework help you may need! I am known for explaining topics that may seem complex in an efficient and clear way, as my main teaching method is breaking everything apart to the basics. I believe that it is important to understand the fundamentals of a certain subject in order to move on to its more complex phases, so we will backtrack as much as you need. A typical first lesson plan includes - Getting to know the student! I will assess and evaluate their strengths, challenges, and learning style (visual, auditory, or kinesthetic) to create a personalized lesson plan that works best for them. - We could work on homework, study for upcoming tests (or review ones that have been marked and returned), review previous lessons, and prepare for the next lesson so that you are ahead!
