I am extremely empathetic and supportive; I can help define your areas of strengths and areas that are challenging to help you succeed in nursing. I have a Master's Degree in Nursing Education, as well as 25 years of experience in Cardiovascular ICU, CCU, Cath Lab, Pre op/PACU, and Cardiology Ambulatory Care. My nursing journey began with an Associate's Degree; I got my bachelor's degree over a 5-year period while working, and took time off to raise a family. I returned to nursing after taking a Nursing Refresher course; this was somewhat intimidating but was an extremely empowering experience in my career. I obtained my MSN in Nursing Education while continuing to work full time in Cardiac Ambulatory Care. I have precepted new nurses, experienced nurses, Nurse Residency graduates, and student nurses in a clinical setting.
