I’m a passionate piano tutor with 14 years of experience helping students grow in both skill and confidence. I hold a Licentiate of Music in Piano (LMusA), and I specialize in guiding learners through ABRSM, Rockschool, and university-level performance standards. Whether you're preparing for an exam or simply love music, I’m here to support your journey. My lessons blend structure and creativity. I focus on technique, interpretation, and musical expression, while also encouraging students to explore their own musical voice. Every student is different, so I tailor my approach to fit individual needs and goals. I believe in building strong foundations—sight reading, theory, and rhythmic control are all part of the process. I also love helping students push their boundaries with more advanced repertoire and creative projects. Seeing a student connect with the piano in their own way is the most rewarding part of my work. My piano teaching approach is structured, flexible, and student-focused. I help learners build a strong foundation in technique, music theory, and expression. Whether you're just starting out or preparing for advanced exams or performances, I adapt lessons to match your goals.
I emphasize sight reading early on, as it helps students become confident, independent players. For those aiming to perform classical pieces or take graded exams, I offer focused training with attention to detail, precision, and musicality. I also guide students through improvisation, encouraging creativity and freedom at the piano.
Progress tracking is an important part of my method. I provide regular feedback, goal-setting, and practice tips to keep students motivated and on track. I use virtual piano apps and online tools to make learning more interactive. Metronomes and slow practice techniques are also key in developing timing and control.
Each lesson is engaging, supportive, and tailored to the student's pace. I support learners who want to excel in formal settings, as well as those seeking personal growth through music. My aim is to make piano not just a skill, but a lifelong joy.
