About Rosie
Hi, I’m a violin tutor with over ten years of experience and a Diploma in Classical Violin. While my foundation is rooted in classical music, my passion lies in exploring the exciting world of crossover violin styles. From Jazz and Rock to Hip-Hop Strings and global musical influences, I love pushing the boundaries of what the violin can do. I use improvisation and looping pedals to help students discover their unique voice on the instrument. My lessons often include creative performance techniques that bring energy, movement, and expression to playing. I guide students in writing their own solos and adapting popular songs they love, turning each session into a blend of fun and discovery. Tone and texture are more than just sounds—they're tools for storytelling. I encourage experimentation so that students can shape their own musical identity. Whether you're curious about jazz riffs, cinematic string sounds, or remixing your favorite tune, there's space for that here. My goal is to make learning violin both inspiring and personal.
