About Alexaandra

Having been an active musician for over the last 10 years, I have discovered the passion for teaching and have been developing it since. I relocated to the UK after BA(Hons), I've performed both as a leader and a collaborator at major jazz venues including Queen Elizabeth Hall, Cadogan Hall, Ronnie Scott's and more. Passionate about social change, I played an important role in developing Female Collective an educational programme aimed at female musicians, by Tomorrow’s Warriors. As an arranger and a tutor of the group, I led the Front-line on various festivals such as Wilderness, Love Supreme, We Out Here, EFG London Jazz Festival. I am eager to assist you through your musical journey and help you meet your goals, be it passing the exams or playing in a band.

About the lesson

A live and online Saxophone, Flute and Music Theory courses for the student of all levels and ages. A confident and patient tutor and a music leader loving sharing the passion for music. I will guide you through the process of learning about the sounds and using the instrument, to enable you to express yourself freely.

As a teacher, I am always excited to witness talents embark on their musical journey, and Nick has shown big potential and dedication so far.

He has quickly refreshed fundamental saxophone technique displaying notable improvements in embouchure control, finger dexterity, and breath support.

As for the flute, Nick demonstrated good tone and breath control as well as a solid technical skills.

He diligently practices assigned exercises and repertoire, incorporating feedback with a receptive attitude.
It is a joy to guide and witness the musical development of Nick, and I anticipate what he will accomplish in the coming months and years. Well done !

Perfect! As of yet all down to me,I've not had any lessons yet. All my doing not Alexandra. Had to cancel last week due to me being diverted to Yorkshire for work. This week I've been given a cancellation on my cruciate ligament operation. I've been waiting 8 months so I had to take this chance to get it sorted. Rearranged for 10th July. Adam is a very focused student who follows suggestions as to what to do to play with a nice-sounding tone and with good technique. Just a few lessons in and he is stepping into playing a jazz standard! Well done.
