About Aurora
As a math tutor with a BSc in Mathematics for Data Science and more than 11 years of experience, I guide middle school students through algebra with patience and creativity. Concepts like equations and polynomial expressions can be challenging. That’s why I use puzzles, games, and real-life examples to bring lessons to life. My approach is structured but flexible, allowing each student to learn at their own pace. I’ve taught students with many learning preferences, and I adapt to each one. For learners struggling with math anxiety, I create a safe space to explore and grow. Real-world connections, such as shopping or travel planning, show students how algebra applies outside the classroom. This makes math less abstract and more enjoyable. Mistakes are welcomed as part of the journey. I encourage curiosity and resilience in every lesson. Over time, students gain not only skills but also confidence. Algebra becomes more than a subject—it becomes an adventure. Together, we’ll make that journey exciting and rewarding.
