About Troy

I’m a Physics tutor with over 10 years of experience and a BSc in Physics with Materials Science. My academic and teaching journey has been strongly shaped by a deep interest in astrophysics and cosmology. I specialize in topics like stellar evolution, black holes, general relativity, and the Big Bang theory. These areas allow students to explore some of the most fascinating and mysterious parts of our universe. I’ve worked with students who are passionate about space, including members of astronomy clubs and those aiming to study astrophysics at university. I love guiding curious minds through the complex ideas that govern stars, galaxies, and the very fabric of spacetime. My lessons often include visual models, conceptual breakdowns, and thought experiments to make abstract topics more accessible. I encourage questions that go beyond the textbook and support learners in connecting advanced theory to the universe around them. About the lesson

My teaching approach in Physics is nurturing, personalized, and focused on building both understanding and confidence. I guide students through core physics concepts while encouraging exploration through computation and simulation. We dive into subjects like computer modeling, data visualization, numerical methods, and the basics of scientific programming. These tools help bring physics to life in a powerful and interactive way.

Each lesson is tailored to the student’s pace and interest, whether they’re solving motion problems or simulating nuclear decay. I work especially well with Research Assistants and Nuclear Buffs, helping them deepen their understanding using code and models. We use visual outputs, graphs, and simulations to see how theory plays out in real systems.

I encourage curiosity, careful thinking, and creativity in problem-solving. Together, we build skills that are valuable not only in physics but in modern scientific research. With support and structure, students learn to think like computational physicists. Our sessions celebrate the exciting mix of coding and science.
