About Rasta

I’m Rasta — a motivated and caring Grade 8 student who loves helping younger kids succeed in school. I know how stressful homework and learning can be sometimes, so I’m here to make things easier, not harder. My goal is to make every student feel understood, supported, and proud of their progress. Even though I’m young, I take this role very seriously. I’m responsible, respectful, and always prepared. I believe in creating a safe, judgment-free space where students can ask questions, practice, and build confidence step by step. Families can trust me to be patient, positive, and always kind. Whether it’s reading, math, grammar, or homework help, I’ll be there with a smile and a clear plan to help your child feel better and stronger in every session. From my achievements I can say, I got ''The Best At Math Award'' from my school this year, I passed a lot of extra assessments other than my school. I may be a student, but I tutor with heart, and I never give up on those I work with.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I focus on making learning simple, comfortable, and fun, especially for younger students who may feel stressed or unsure about schoolwork. I always try to explain things in a way that’s easy to understand, using examples and real-life connections. I believe learning should feel like progress, not pressure. - My Teaching Methods I use: -Clear, step-by-step explanations -Positive encouragement and lots of patience -Fun practice activities or games when needed -Visual tools (like drawings or charts) to explain tough topics -Review time at the end of each lesson to make sure it all makes sense I also ask students how they learn best, so I can match their learning style! My Typical Lesson Plan: -Warm-up (5–10 min): A quick chat or review from last lesson -Main Topic (30–40 min): Focused learning (reading, math, etc.) with examples and practice. -Check-In & Support (10–15 min): Questions the student might have, reviewing tricky questions, or even challenge questions! -Wrap-Up (5 min): Summary, next steps, and a boost of confidence before we finish Every session is tailored to the student’s needs, so it always feels useful and never boring! What Sets Me Apart I’m a student myself, so I understand how school feels right now, the pressure, the confusion, the frustration I’m patient, calm, and kind, I never rush or judge I really care about helping younger kids feel smart and proud of themselves I can make lessons feel more like a conversation than a class I also am able to speak Farsi (Persian), which can help younger ESL students feel more supported. Who My Lessons Are For Elementary and middle school students (Grades 1-8) Kids who need help with reading, writing, grammar, basic math, French basics, or homework ESL students who need slow and kind explanations Students who need someone patient and understanding My goal is to make students feel safe, supported, and stronger after every session.
