About Andrea

I am a Colombian living in the USA, I live between both languages, and I know how challenging it can be to reach a level of fluency. My goal is to make this journey easier and more enjoyable for you.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I adapt and personalize lessons according to each student’s level and goals.

How?
1. I use a communicative approach, focusing on getting students to speak from the very first lesson. I start with everyday topics and gradually introduce more complex grammar and vocabulary. I enjoy incorporating cultural elements and real-life situations to make learning more authentic and relevant.

2. A typical class starts with a brief conversation to review what we covered previously. Then, I introduce the new topic, whether it's a grammar point or vocabulary set, followed by practical exercises that encourage students to use it in daily-life contexts. To wrap up, we do a practical activity, like a role-play or debate.

3. As a communicator and journalist, I have a deep understanding of Spanish grammar and structure, allowing me to explain them clearly and effectively. My background in content creation also helps me design varied, engaging materials that keep students motivated.

Besides, my lessons are designed for English speakers, from beginners to intermediate-advanced levels, who want to improve their fluency, grammar, and cultural understanding of Spanish.
