About Lys
I have over 9 years of experience teaching singing, with a Bachelor of Science in Music Production focused on Vocal Engineering. I offer personalized lessons for students at all levels—whether you’re in school, college, or a working professional. My focus is on supporting singer-songwriters and original music creators to develop their unique sound. We work on lyric writing, melodic construction, and vocal phrasing to bring out emotional impact in your songs. I also teach basic guitar and piano skills so you can confidently accompany yourself. My strengths include ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory, all tailored to build your vocal confidence. I believe every voice is unique, and I prioritize safe vocal techniques to keep your instrument healthy. My teaching approach focuses on building a strong and healthy voice through foundational techniques. Breath control and diaphragmatic support are key areas we work on together. These skills help you sing with greater stamina and endurance, so your voice stays strong even during long performances. I emphasize vocal health, teaching you how to care for your voice daily.
I use targeted exercises designed to improve vocal stability and strength. These help develop better breath management and reduce strain. I’m especially skilled at working with Suzuki students and orchestra members who need solid vocal support for their demanding music.
