About Katie

I have a passion for learning, and am currently studying for a Masters in Social work, having recently returned from a year in Spain learning Spanish. I have extensive experience in educational contexts, both in schools and privately. I really enjoy tutoring and being able to share this passion for learning with young people.

I matriculated into the University of Oxford in 2012, and have worked in access to University programmes since then, including mock Oxbridge interviews and personal statement advice. I can offer subject specific interviews in Theology and related degrees, or personal statement based interviews for arts and humanities degrees.

I have taught English as a foreign language, both as an au pair in Spain and in the UK to young people for whom English is a second language, and so can offer classes to improve confidence and ability in written and spoken English.

I can offer religious studies tutoring, due to my background in theology.

I have also taught the Extended Project Qualification (Level 2) in a school, with all of the 20 KS3/4 students studying it receiving grades A*-B, and would be comfortable supporting students who would like to study this at level 2 or 3, whether they study this at school or not.

She was very thorough, taking time to understand my difficulties and concerns before beginning and designing lessons specifically to address them. She was very understanding when there were things I struggled more on, and took time to make sure I understood everything properly without ever making me feel pressured.
