About Neel
I am a violin tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Science in Orchestral Studies, where I served as Violin Section Leader. I help students build technical skill while exploring personal musical expression. Lessons use technology such as slow-down apps, DAWs, MIDI notation, and video feedback to enhance practice. Recording original songs or covers is a core focus. I love teaching Jazz Violin, Rock Strings, and Indie Folk. Improvisation and custom backing tracks make learning engaging and creative. Lessons are interactive, goal-driven, and tailored to each student. I focus on tone, phrasing, and expressive musical storytelling. Students gain skills for recording, live performance, and composition. My approach combines traditional technique with modern tools. I aim to unlock each student’s creativity and unique sound. Together, we explore improvisation, recording, and musical innovation. Every lesson is an opportunity to grow and create music.

My violin lessons focus on integrating music theory with practical playing. I teach scales, keys, intervals, and chord theory directly on the fingerboard. This approach helps students understand the reasoning behind every technique. Tone, phrasing, and expressive playing are emphasized alongside theoretical knowledge. Lessons are interactive and tailored to exam preparation, performance, or creative exploration. I include sight-reading, improvisation, and ensemble practice to build versatile skills. Students learn to analyze pieces, recognize musical patterns, and apply theory in real time. My goal is to develop confident, informed violinists who understand the “why” behind the “how.” Each session builds both technical ability and musical insight.
