About Tanishka
I am a violin tutor with over 2 years of teaching experience and hold a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, focusing on Contemporary Repertoire. My training is rooted in classical technique, but I encourage students to explore modern and expressive playing on the violin. Lessons emphasise precise bowing technique, rich vibrato, clear phrasing, and deep musical interpretation. I work closely with students preparing for ABRSM and Trinity exams, helping them build confidence and technical skill. Ensemble playing and orchestral excerpt preparation are also key parts of my teaching. I guide students to understand their role within an orchestra while developing their personal style. My experience with orchestral coaching allows me to prepare players for real-world performance scenarios. Whether the focus is Classical, Contemporary, or Cinematic music, I tailor lessons to the student’s goals. I believe combining traditional discipline with creativity is essential for growth. I foster a supportive and inspiring environment to nurture each student’s potential. With attention to detail and musical expression, I help students become versatile violinists. My violin teaching approach focuses on building strong sight-reading skills. I help students understand ledger lines, complex rhythms, and multi-part scores with ease.
