My approach blends proven strategies with personal mentorship, helping students grasp both the intellectual beauty and competitive edge of chess in a supportive, structured way. My teaching style is centered around individual progress. Whether you're playing for fun, school, or FIDE-rated events, I tailor each session to challenge your current level. I prioritize clarity, patience, and encouragement, creating a space where growth is steady and rewarding. In addition to coaching, I regularly study high-level games, play in online competitions, and analyze grandmaster strategies. Initial lessons introduce core fundamentals—piece movement, board setup, and basic tactics such as forks, pins, and checkmates. For new or returning players, I ensure solid understanding of key rules and patterns, helping you make accurate decisions from your very first game onward.
Once the basics are strong, we focus on tactical themes, positional awareness, and opening principles. Lessons include game analysis, strategic planning, and timed practice. You’ll learn to recognize threats, identify opportunities, and understand how to create long-term advantages in different positions.
For advanced learners, sessions include deep endgame theory, calculation training, and preparation for tournament-level play. We'll study classical games, improve time management, and use real scenarios to sharpen both intuition and technique. Lessons are always personalized to support your evolving style and goals.
