About YOSHIFUMI
I was born in Miyazaki Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan, and later pursued my studies in linguistics at a university in Tokyo. It was during this time that I also obtained my certification as a Japanese language teacher. After moving to the United States, I founded my own language school, where I taught for many years. Now, having retired from running the school, I continue to teach students of various ages across the U.S. through online classes. In my personal life, my hobbies include marine sports and traveling, which have always been passions of mine. I also have a deep love for animals, and I currently share my home with a beloved dog.

My Japanese class focuses on teaching practical Japanese. I teach phrases that can be used in various situations, check pronunciation, and also assist with the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. I can teach from elementary to business levels. Many people have taken my classes just for travel and had enjoyable experiences in Japan. Over the past 10 years, many students have passed the highest level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test after taking my classes.
