About Dahlia

With over 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Violin Emphasis), I help dedicated violin students refine their technique, artistry, and performance skills. I’ve performed extensively in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings, and I draw on that experience to guide my students toward musical success. I specialize in preparing high school performers, conservatory students, and competition-level violinists. From stage presence to musical storytelling, we work on everything that makes a performance truly stand out. My approach blends discipline with inspiration. We tackle challenging repertoire together, focusing on musical expression, technical accuracy, and personal interpretation. I also offer strategic support for auditions, including repertoire selection, mock auditions, and feedback. My goal is not only to help you play well but to perform with purpose. Each lesson is focused, personalized, and designed to help you reach your full potential. Let’s take your playing to the next level — and beyond.

About the lesson

My teaching approach balances technique, musicality, and confidence-building. I focus on bow control, posture, tone, and intonation — all essential for steady progress on the violin. Students learn how to move with ease and play with clarity from the very beginning.

I enjoy helping students who may feel comfortable singing or blending into a group, but are now ready to step forward and shine on their own. I gently guide them toward becoming more independent, expressive players. We focus on making the violin feel less intimidating and more like a voice they already know how to use.

Each lesson includes exercises to improve sound, build finger strength, and explore phrasing. I love using imagery and emotion to help shape musical ideas. We also talk about how to stay relaxed and confident during practice and performance.

The violin is a journey — and I’m here to support every step, no matter where you’re starting from.
