About Connor
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music and have taught piano for the past nine years to students of all ages. My teaching style is thoughtful, encouraging, and built on the belief that every student can succeed with the right combination of structure and creativity. Throughout my teaching journey, I’ve worked with complete beginners, exam candidates, and adult learners rediscovering their musical passion. My lessons are personalized, and I take time to understand each student’s goals, strengths, and learning pace. Building musical confidence is at the heart of what I do. Outside of teaching, I perform, compose, and continually study piano pedagogy to keep my methods fresh and effective. I believe music is both a discipline and an emotional outlet, and I’m committed to helping students experience both the technical mastery and the joy of playing.

Each lesson begins with a focus on posture, finger strength, and foundational exercises. Whether you're starting from scratch or returning after years away, we begin at your comfort level, ensuring a relaxed pace that supports clear progress and strong musical habits from the beginning.
As students build skills, we introduce sight-reading, scales, and rhythm development using both classical and modern pieces. Lessons are designed to improve coordination, timing, and musical understanding. You’ll also explore how to interpret music emotionally, not just technically, to make your playing more expressive.
More advanced learners dive into chord theory, improvisation, and performance preparation. We work on phrasing, pedal control, and musical storytelling. Lessons are tailored to personal interests—whether you’re preparing for exams, playing for pleasure, or composing your own work, you’ll be supported every step of the way.
