Rachel McAdams

Rachel McAdams was born in London Ontario Nov 17, 1978. She came from two hard-working parents. Her mother was a nurse and her father was a mover. Rachel realized she had a passion for acting at the young age of 12. She saw a children’s theatre performance group and told her mother she had to be in the play. This was the start of Rachel's acting. She continued to act in high school and university. Her first television performance was in 2001 on a Disney series and then in the same year made it on to a film. From these performances, she was able to land more roles and eventually got on to Mean Girls in 2004. Since Mean Girls, she’s been on other well-known movies such as The Vow.

Rachel McAdams has always been one to work hard. Even before acting, she was a competitive figure skater. She’s been able to carry a strong work ethic throughout her years working as an actor. Rachel is also one to only work on projects she is passionate about. She stated once she wasn't going to make movies just to make movies. She's dedicated to every performance she puts on.

Ryan Reynolds

Ryan Reynolds was born in Vancouver, British Columbia on Oct 23, 1917. He was always a nervous kid and extremely sensitive growing up, but later on, he found these issues to be an asset in school productions. Ryan knew he wanted to be an actor at a young age. He landed his first role at just 12 years on Hillside. After his first role, he had struggled to get another big part and only made a few guest appearances. After high school, acting wasn't able to pay the bills just yet. He worked at a local supermarket and stay committed to pursuing acting. He and his friend later decided to move to Los Angeles. Ryan landed a role on Two Guys and Girl in 1998. After the show ended in 2001, Ryan got cast for National Lampoons Van Wilder. The movie performed poorly but has known as a classic. Ryan Reynolds has been in numerous big-screen movies such as The Proposal, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Deadpool.

Ryan Reynolds understands the hardships actors face. He once talked about having a fear that you won't be able to find work. He has watched a lot of talented actors to come and go. Ryan notices he has had a lot of discipline that’s helped him in his career and personal life. He’s mentioned he’s willing to work out on anybody.

Jim Carrey

James Eugen Carrey or better known as Jim Carrey. He was born on January 17, 1962, in Newmarket, Ontario. Jim Carrey started out doing stand up comedy at 15 years old. He eventually was able to open for Ronny Dangerfield and Buddy Hackett on tour. This allowed him to make a living being a comedian. In 1982 Jim went to Hollywood to see if he could make it as an actor. He starred in a movie called Introducing Janet and appeared on numerous T.v shows. It can seem like Jim had an easy start, but this was far from the truth. Jim had to help support his family in high school. He had to work 8 hours as a janitor, go to school and work as a comedic. It wasn't easy for Jim to start. Jim Carrey has always been known for his wacky performances, but he’s also been able to do more serious roles. These movies were Man on the Moon and The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Jim Carrey has always believed he could be successful in show business. He even wrote himself a check for 10 million dollars before he was famous and dated it Thanksgiving 1995. Amazingly, enough Jim made around 10 million dollars right around that date on the check for Dumb and Dumber. Jim teaches us that hard work pays off. It couldn't have been easy working a job, going to school and then trying to pursue his passion.

Kirsten Kreuk

Kristen Kreuk was born in British Columbia on Dec 20, 1982. Unlike so many other actors she wasn't acting at a young age. Kristen didn’t realize she wanted to become an actor until the end of high school. She came from two hard-working parents who worked as landscape architects. In middle school, she trained in karate and gymnastics however in high school had to stop due to scoliosis. Kristen was hoping to pursue a career in either psychology or forensic science. In her last year of high school, she saw a post for a casting call audition. She convinced herself to attend the audition. Kirsten later got a call from the casting director for the t.v series Edgemont. She appeared on Edgemont in 2001 and was able to land another role on Snow White that same year. In 2004 she was able to get a role in Smallville. Kristen played Lang Lang Clark Kent’s secret crush. Smallville had a lot of success and this helped Kirsten's career immensely.

Kristen Kreuk isn't like most actors. She wasn't acting from a young age. She found her start late compared to a lot of other Canadian actors. Kristen has been able to work hard and think smart about every role she has been in. She's always been confident in her abilities and it shows in each of her roles.
