About Wesley
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music and have spent the past nine years teaching guitar to learners of all ages. My approach combines technical clarity with a relaxed, encouraging style that helps students feel comfortable, capable, and motivated to keep growing. My experience includes working in schools, private studios, and online settings, helping students learn everything from their first chords to complex solos. I’ve guided learners preparing for performances, exams, and songwriting goals, always adjusting the pace to suit their personal journey. Outside of teaching, I perform, record, and continually study evolving guitar techniques and pedagogy. Music is not just a profession—it’s my passion—and I aim to pass that enthusiasm on to every student I work with. Your growth is my mission every step of the way.

Each lesson is built around your current skill level and interests, starting with the fundamentals—proper hand positioning, tuning, basic chords, and strumming. These elements are taught using simple songs to keep learning enjoyable while building strong muscle memory and rhythm awareness from the beginning.
As you advance, we explore scales, barre chords, and alternate picking. Techniques such as fingerstyle and riff development are introduced alongside music theory basics. You’ll learn to play fluently across styles like rock, blues, acoustic pop, and classical, depending on your goals.
Improvisation and song-building become part of the learning process as you gain confidence. Students are encouraged to bring their own musical preferences, and we use real songs to teach structure, timing, and expression. Each session promotes creativity while reinforcing essential guitar techniques.
