About Livia
I’m a singing tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre Voice. I love helping students of all levels—school, college, and adult learners—find their unique voice. My lessons are completely personalized, focusing on what *you* want to achieve, whether that’s mastering technique, preparing for performances, or simply singing with more joy and ease. I teach a wide range of styles, including classical, pop, movie soundtracks, and folk singing, so students can explore and grow in different directions. Along the way, we work on ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory to build a strong foundation. These skills make you not only a better singer but a more complete musician. Vocal health is at the heart of my approach. I believe in using safe, sustainable techniques that strengthen your voice while protecting it for the long term. Every lesson is interactive, supportive, and encouraging—I want you to feel comfortable experimenting, making mistakes, and discovering your own sound. Most importantly, I aim to build confidence. My singing lessons are built to nurture voices at every stage, with special attention to *The Soloist in Training* and *The Adult Beginner*. For emerging soloists, I focus on refining pitch, control, and vocal expression to help them command the stage with confidence. Adult beginners, on the other hand, are guided through a supportive, no-pressure approach that helps them overcome hesitation and discover the joy of singing.
We explore a range of song styles—pop, classical, jazz, and contemporary—to broaden musicality and keep lessons inspiring. Each style teaches something new: pop sharpens rhythmic instincts, classical hones precision, and jazz unlocks creative phrasing. This variety ensures that both personas not only grow technically but also connect emotionally with the music.
Modern tech plays a key role in the process. We use recording software so students can hear their own progress, ear training apps to sharpen listening accuracy, and pitch correction tools to pinpoint areas of improvement. These tools don’t replace natural growth—they accelerate it by giving immediate, clear feedback.
Above all, I emphasize confidence-building in every session. Through guided practice, creative exercises, and real-time feedback, students learn to trust their voices and perform with pride. Whether you’re aiming for the spotlight or simply want to sing with ease, my approach blends technique, artistry, and support to help you reach your full potential.
