About Iris

I have been tutoring mathematics for over 9 years and hold a Master’s degree in Actuarial Science. My teaching philosophy revolves around equipping students with strong reasoning and problem-solving skills. Through problem-solving workshops, I’ve shown learners how to break down complex challenges into manageable steps. I also coach students for mathematical competitions, where I focus on building strategic thinking and creativity. About the lesson

I teach mathematics by combining structure with tailored guidance. Algebra always comes first, as it provides the foundation for higher-level study. Each session follows a clear path so progress feels steady and connected. My methods are flexible, adjusting to the strengths and goals of each learner. This structured system is especially effective for future actuaries and advanced problem-solvers. I emphasize persistence, precision, and analytical thinking. Students are encouraged to treat challenges as learning opportunities. Over time, they develop independence and resilience. Mathematics, under this approach, becomes both practical and deeply rewarding.
