About Vanya

Hi! I’m a vocal coach with over 10 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music, where I majored in Voice. I work with singers at many stages of their journey — from school performers to drama majors and adult singers returning to the spotlight. My students often come to me to prepare for auditions, competitions, and live stage performances. I teach a wide range of vocal styles, including Classical, Broadway, Pop-Rock, and Music Theater. I help students strengthen their diction, expand their range, and build vocal agility. We also focus on selecting repertoire that suits your voice and goals. For performance prep, I coach dramatic interpretation and stage presence to bring each piece fully to life. My lessons are tailored, supportive, and grounded in healthy vocal technique. About the lesson

My singing lesson approach is designed to support vocalists who want to deepen their music literacy and become more independent, confident musicians. Whether you're part of an ensemble or exploring multiple musical genres, building strong reading and listening skills is key. We focus on sight-singing, interval training, rhythm work, and harmony development — all essential for staying in sync and making expressive musical choices.

Lessons include regular practice with notation reading and solfege, helping you connect what you see on the page with what you hear and sing. I use sight-singing apps, rhythm trainers, and digital notation tools to make this practice engaging and consistent. We break down melodies and rhythms slowly, then work toward fluency and accuracy.

For singers who perform in choirs or orchestral settings, we focus on blending, tuning within harmony, and quickly interpreting new material. For those crossing between styles, we build flexibility — helping you move between genres while staying grounded in strong technique and musical awareness. Steady practice helps strengthen the ear-mind-voice connection so that reading music becomes second nature.
