About Andrew
I've been playing guitar for 20 years and teaching for 12 years. I am a friendly and patient teacher with loads of experience, both in teaching and performing. I've taught hundreds of students from kids to adults in my private teaching and in primary and secondary schools and have plenty of great references. My performance background includes weddings, cruises, corporate gigs and residencies in pubs across Victoria and interstate.

I welcome players of all ages and abilities, on acoustic or electric guitar. Depending on your experience and interests, lessons can cover a range of topics including; Reading Music and Tabs, Improvisation, Music Theory, Technique, Learning Songs, Ear training, Composition Styles taught include; Folk, Rock, Blues, Jazz, Soul, Funk. My goal for my students is to inspire in them a love of music and playing, to develop good habits and a strong foundation on their instrument so that they may enjoy their playing for many years to come. Every student has a different reason for learning, and I will work with you to help you achieve your own goals, whether they are playing for personal enjoyment, learning a certain style, or getting good marks in AMEB or tertiary exams. At the end of each lesson you will receive a pdf with everything we worked on, presented clearly with personalized feedback attached. *Please note that I am currently only accepting online lessons, taught via Zoom. Perfect! Definitely fits the bill of a personal professional tutor - listens to your priorities and your interests, explains all his methodology, caters to your strengths and weaknesses, has ALL the equipment - and is unfailingly polite and enthusiastic throughout. Nothing makes you want to quit guitar more than a bad teacher - and the opposite is true too. Nothing makes me want to keep playing and learning guitar than Andrew.
