About Tessa
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance and have been teaching singing for five years, guiding students across ages and levels. My background includes stage performances, ensemble singing, and studio sessions, all of which enrich the experience I bring to each lesson. My teaching philosophy is rooted in patience, technique, and creativity. I adapt lessons to meet individual learning goals—whether that means singing confidently in public, improving clarity and pitch, or just exploring your voice in a new way. Progress is paced according to your comfort and development. Alongside teaching, I’ve worked with choirs and independent artists, gaining insight into many musical styles and vocal needs. I aim to help each student find their voice—literally and artistically—by blending technical skill-building with the joy of expression and musical storytelling.

In our beginner sessions, the focus is on establishing healthy vocal habits through breath management, warm-up routines, and tone control. You’ll explore pitch accuracy, vowel shaping, and simple melodies that are easy to follow and help build vocal confidence in a supportive environment.
As your technique develops, we’ll introduce exercises to extend range, improve dynamics, and enhance vocal agility. You’ll begin working on more expressive phrasing and explore how to interpret songs across styles like pop, classical, or musical theatre. Theory basics and ear training are also integrated into the process.
Advanced lessons are tailored to suit performance readiness, artistic interpretation, and stylistic refinement. Whether your goal is audition prep, solo work, or studio recording, each session provides detailed feedback and structured exercises that support growth in tone quality, stamina, and vocal expression.
