About Amity
I bring expertise in spoken and written language, as a CELTA certified, native English speaker. With a passion for human communication, I speak Spanish at an intermediate level and have also studied some French and Latin. I'm committed to helping people improve their conversational and written communications in English in order to build confidence and capability in all aspects of their interpersonal relationships.

My lessons focus on identifying 'problem' areas of adult speakers who wish to improve their ability to communicate in English. I strive to be an approachable and personable tutor, focusing lessons on both receptive (reading, listening) and productive (writing, speaking) skills. Together, we can craft personalized lessons and work to improve your ability to understand and be understood. I bring a passion for vocabulary and enjoy getting to know students. Will also provide help with grammar, essay and coverletter writing, as needed.
