About Stefan

My name is Stefan and I'm a 3D Artist with specialism in Characters, props, rigging and Animation. I work full-time and freelance in the video game industry and have worked in companies like Microsoft and Dreamfuel Games. I'm also an Educator and taught Computer Games Art at Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge and Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology in China at both Bachelor and Masters level. I've been helping people learn 3D since 2016 and have a lot of experience structuring lessons and conveying information. Currently I'm teaching at Brighton University and a vocational college called DV8 Sussex. My personal interest lies in stylised characters and creatures and game design. I work on personal projects with friends from time to time and plan to build a company in the future. I live in Brighton, England with my partner and five cats (I know).

About the lesson

Depending on your goals and needs I go through fundamental or specialist workflows, pipelines and processes helping you either build an understanding of 3D Game Art development or helping you push your skills in specific areas. Topics can include: *3D Fundamentals *Introduction to Autodesk Maya *creating Assets with Maya and ZBrush *Mesh Clean Up, Optimisation and UV *Retopology *Texturing in Substance Painter *Clothing in Zbrush *Human and Creature Anatomy for Zbrush *3D Character Pipeline for Zbrush and much more. The main programmes I use are Maya, Zbrush and Substance Painter, so make sure you have either a full or student or any version of these programmes prior to taking any kinds of lessons. These lessons are tailored to YOU. That means I'll teach you what you want to learn, or I can just start right at the beginning and you can choose to specialise later. I've taught as a University Lecturer of Computer Games Art at Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge and played a personal role in developing the curriculum taught to Bachelors students. I've Also taught students in Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology in Mainland China, as well as offered mentorship to many peers through the years. I now work as a full-time/freelance 3D artist in the Video Game Industry.

Perfect! Stefan is an excellent tutor. Very patient, enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable in his craft. He explains things in a very clear and easy to understand manor and can effortlessly help resolve any learning difficulties as well as work at the student's pace. He is very easy to talk to and nothing is too much trouble. I would not hesitate to recommend Stefan as a tutor in the future and would definitely call on his services again.
