About Suri

I am a singing tutor with 10 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Music. I specialize in teaching Classical, Pop, Rock, and Country singing styles. My lessons offer a balanced approach, combining ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory. I believe every student is unique, so I tailor my teaching to fit individual needs and goals. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced, I focus on developing strong vocal technique and confident performance skills. My teaching also emphasizes musical understanding to help students express themselves fully. I encourage creativity and help students find their own voice. Through personalized instruction, I guide learners step-by-step to improve pitch, tone, and breathing control. I create a supportive and positive learning environment where students feel motivated and inspired. Together, we work on building skills that last a lifetime. About the lesson

My singing methodology is designed to help church ensemble players and crossover artists master multiple genres like classical, pop, and jazz. I focus on adapting vocal techniques to fit each style’s unique demands. For church ensemble singers, I emphasize clear diction, controlled breath support, and blending within the group to create a harmonious sound. For crossover artists, we work on flexible pitch control, stylistic phrasing, and emotional expression to move smoothly between genres. I guide students in understanding the subtle differences in tone and delivery required for each style. Developing strong musicality is key, so I include exercises in rhythm, dynamics, and improvisation. To support progress, I incorporate modern tech tools such as digital audio workstations (DAWs) for recording practice sessions, metronomes for timing, and pitch training apps for accuracy. These tools provide immediate feedback and help track improvement over time. Lessons are interactive and personalized, blending traditional vocal techniques with technology. Whether performing in a worship setting or exploring diverse music styles, students gain confidence and versatility. This approach prepares singers to excel and express themselves fully in any musical environment.
