About David

My singing lessons are designed to be a safe, creative space where you can explore your voice, build new skills, and find joy in your musical journey. I believe that singing is for everyone — no matter your background, age, or experience level. Whether you’re stepping into singing for the first time or coming back after a break, I’ll meet you with care and adapt our sessions to your pace and goals. We’ll work on core vocal techniques such as breath control, tone, pitch accuracy, and phrasing, all while singing the songs that light you up. You bring the music you love, and I’ll help you perform it with confidence and authenticity. My approach includes fun, interactive elements like imagery, vocal exercises, storytelling, and improvisation to help make learning feel intuitive and memorable. I know that it takes courage to explore your voice, so I prioritize creating a calm, respectful environment where you can take risks, make mistakes, and grow. We’ll also focus on building a manageable practice routine that fits your schedule and supports your progress outside of lessons. You’ll leave each session feeling encouraged and with clear steps to move forward. If you’re interested, we can also explore harmony, music theory, performance readiness, or microphone technique. No matter your goals — whether it’s singing for joy, creative expression, stress relief, or the stage — I’m here to help you uncover the power and beauty of your unique voice.

About the lesson

Every singer deserves to be understood, challenged, and celebrated. I use a contemporary and student-centered teaching approach rooted in Communication, Creativity, Cultural Sensitivity, and Accountability to help singers of all levels grow in a way that feels authentic.

Communication is the foundation. From day one, I invite students into a space where they feel heard. I check in regularly, clarify vocal terms simply, and tailor explanations to different learning styles—whether visual, auditory, or kinesthetic.

Creativity gives our lessons energy. I use songwriting snippets, acting through song, and genre-blending exercises to awaken your artistic instincts. Even technical drills are turned into expressive challenges that keep practice exciting and relevant.

Cultural Sensitivity is a priority in repertoire choice and discussion. We explore songs from different traditions while understanding the roots and messages behind them. I encourage students to reflect on how their cultural identity influences their voice and performance style.

Accountability supports growth. With structured lesson plans, routine check-ins, and progress tracking, students stay motivated. I help break down long-term goals into weekly actions so that growth becomes tangible, not overwhelming.

Beyond vocal technique, I offer support in music theory basics, performance coaching, harmony training, and confidence building—equipping students with tools that empower their full musical journey."
