About Shirley
I'm Shirley Binti Osman, currently a student. As a university student myself, I know the best way to approach my students and actually teach them new knowledge through my lessons. In my lesson, there's no rote learning but meaningful learning. I focus on understanding rather than just memorising.

First of all, I will understand the students' situation before I adjust my learning pace and teaching methods. The most effective teaching methods for me are visual learning. I will make vivid presentations to arouse students' interest in learning. I refuse rigid teaching, such as rote learning. I will explain a concept to students in a lively and interesting way, so that they will learn knowledge instead of studying just to cope for exams. Generally, the effective length of a lesson is 2 to 3 hours. Primary school does not exceed 2 hours, and middle school can last up to 3 hours. Students must learn new concepts and knowledge in this short period of 2-3 hours, and then do exercises to consolidate the newly learned knowledge and ensure that they know how to apply it in real life. I think 2-3 hours is the ideal time because students not only have time to fully understand a new topic and apply it.
