About Sabrina
I am a guitar teacher with over 4 years of experience teaching both in-person and online. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance (Contemporary Styles), which gives me a strong academic foundation to share with my students. My teaching philosophy centers on creativity, encouraging students to not only play but also compose and arrange their own music. I emphasize compositional techniques, arranging for guitar, and developing original musical ideas. Lessons often include harmonic concepts, melodic invention, counterpoint, and the basics of recording demos. I adapt each lesson to fit the unique goals and interests of my students. Whether you are a complete beginner, an advanced guitarist, or even a professional aiming to compose, I provide personalized guidance at every stage. I believe that music learning should be both structured and inspiring. My approach blends technical skills with creative exploration. Students are encouraged to develop their own style and voice. Over the years, I have seen how empowering it is when students discover their ability to create. My lessons aim to make that discovery joyful and rewarding. My teaching approach is focused on connecting guitar playing with a clear understanding of music theory. I believe that theory should never feel abstract, but instead practical and easy to apply directly on the fretboard. We explore scales, modes, and chord construction step by step, always relating them to real songs and exercises. I use harmonic analysis to show how music works, and how you can use the same tools in your own playing. Lessons are interactive and flexible, so that each student’s goals are respected. Some students want to build power and freedom in their playing, while others prefer precision and discipline. I offer tailored guidance so that both find the path that suits them best. Improvisation is introduced in a simple and encouraging way, helping you gain confidence quickly. Composition is also a key part of my lessons, as it allows students to create something original while learning technique. By balancing structure with creativity, my method keeps lessons inspiring as well as effective. I explain theory in simple terms and then demonstrate its use through riffs, progressions, and patterns on the guitar. Students quickly see how theory gives freedom rather than limitation. Over time, you will not only improve your skills but also develop your own voice as a guitarist. My goal is to help every student play fluently and musically, while enjoying the process of learning.
