I am an undergraduate student in University of Toronto Engineering Science program. I teach Math, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science for high-school students in Toronto. I summarized important concepts and algorithms for solving problems for students. I tell students Not to memorize formulas. Understanding is the key.
I have tutored twentyish students for one year. I received positive feedbacks from all my tutees. One reason why I was good at explaining things was that I understood why others didn’t understand. For example, when I explained a mathematical rule to my tutees, I recalled the difficulties I encountered when I firstly studied this rule and how I understood it eventually. It often worked when I explained to them the difficult point that used to trouble me. Moreover, science and mathematics questions were sometimes very algorithmic. In that case, I summarized the algorithm to solve a specific type of question for my tutees. They often found that very helpful.
