About Michael

I am a student just like you! I know school is hard to balance and that teachers may neglect explanations. I have been in the exact same shoes as you. Imposter syndrome, feeling like you aren't smart enough and feeling like you won't do well. I know every emotion that you go through.

This also means that I can help you remedy the same emotions as I know the exact way to learn and consume knowledge that will help make you feel confident in your own abilities.

I myself was not a good student, but with the right guidance I was able to learn how to be one. Let me help you on your journey!

About the lesson

I look at how students may approach the problems and specifically their weak points. When I identify them, I try to diagnose whether if they do not know the underlying knowledge or if they simply were not given a good enough explanation.

Once I know what the issue is, I make simple examples and intuitive explanations paired with simple tools that can help students understand the material on their own time. I also relate these examples to real-life experiences and past curriculum so that it is easier to remember.

After my sessions, I regularly create custom work-sheets and hand-written explanations as well as upload the work we did during class so my students can access it at a later date and can assist themselves while practicing their material.

My lessons are for anyone who may feel unconfident in their abilities, regardless of the level of education. My teaching philosophy is that making mistakes with me is a good thing, rather than a bad thing. I collaborate with you to fix your mistakes and so you won't make the same ones in a scenario where they actually matter, like on a test, exam or assignment.
