About LJ
I am a Bachelor of Music student at the University of Tasmania. I major in songwriting but am a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar (acoustic, electric and bass), drums and piano as well as singing. I underwent private tuition for singing, guitar and drums all through high school and completed both group and solo music subjects in year 12 with a focus on performance and music theory. I love music and teaching it to others and hope to become a certified music teacher one day, so this seems like the best place to start!

I believe that practical, hands on learning is the best way to go, and that teachers should focus on what the student is interested in.
First I'll ask you about your interests and short term/long term goals and assess how experienced you are. From there I'll give you the tools, information advice and feedback you need to grow musically whilst ensuring I don't overload you with information.
We we will dive straight into learning whatever it is that you want/need to learn to achieve your goals.
Theory lessons held in person can be held at students place, a public library or a similar location. Unfortunately I am unable to hold them at my place of residence at this time. Contact me to discuss location options if you're interested!

Details
Must give at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or you will be charged the full cost of the lesson.
Unfortunately at this time I am unable to provide lessons in person in locations difficult for me to get to via public transport, bike or walking without getting a taxi/Uber. If you are really keen to have me teach you in person, we can discuss compensation for travel :)
