I have known Soumik for a long time - as a friend, student and teacher. The most unique aspect of his teaching is that he inspires you to think in a very non-conventional way. I have known Soumik since college. Studying with him was always a pleasure because he has the rare talent of taking an extremely complex idea and making it seem easy. A passionate learner himself, his breadth of knowledge is only challenged by its depth. Originally trained as an Electrical engineer, he taught himself Computer Science well enough to crack IIT Kanpur, and later bag one of the most lucrative jobs at Amazon. He dabbles in a lot of extracurriculars, from playing the guitar to cricket, which makes him uniquely relatable and approachable. His style is lively, his logic incisive, his delivery is direct and intuitive. I couldn't recommend him enough.
