About Nola
As a passionate pianist and dedicated music educator, my journey with music began at a young age, driven by a profound love for the piano and its ability to convey emotions and stories through melodies. Over the years, I have cultivated my skills through extensive practice, formal training, and diverse performance experiences in classical, jazz, and contemporary styles.
With several years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of guiding students of all ages and backgrounds on their own musical paths. My teaching philosophy revolves around creating a nurturing and inspiring learning environment where students can explore their musical interests and develop their talents to their fullest potential. I believe in tailoring lessons to meet the unique needs and aspirations of each student, whether they are beginners discovering the joy of piano playing or advanced pianists aiming to refine their technique and musicality.
In my lessons, I emphasize a holistic approach that integrates technical proficiency with musical expression and creativity. I strive to instill not only the foundational skills of piano playing, such as technique, sight-reading, and music theory, but also the artistry and emotional depth that bring music to life. Through personalized instruction, I encourage students to explore diverse repertoire, experiment with improvisation, and develop their own interpretations, fostering a deep appreciation for music as a form of self-expression.
Beyond teaching, I remain actively engaged in the music community as a performer, collaborator, and participant in various musical events and projects. This ongoing immersion in music enriches my teaching practice, allowing me to share real-world insights, performance techniques, and a passion for music with my students. My ultimate goal is to inspire a lifelong love for music in my students, empower them to achieve their musical goals, and cultivate a sense of joy and fulfillment through piano playing.

Imagine a transformative journey where every piano lesson becomes a gateway to unlocking your musical potential and deepening your appreciation for music. Each session is meticulously crafted to cater to your individual needs, whether you're a novice taking your first steps or an experienced pianist aiming to refine your technique.
Beginning with the basics, lessons focus on fundamental skills such as hand placement, posture, and finger dexterity. You'll learn to read sheet music, understand music theory, and play simple melodies, laying a solid foundation for future growth. For intermediate and advanced students, lessons delve into more complex techniques like scales, arpeggios, and advanced repertoire in classical and jazz styles. Emphasis is placed on developing expressive playing, musical interpretation, and improvisational skills.
My teaching approach is interactive and supportive, fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment. I believe in nurturing creativity and individuality in each student, tailoring lessons to their unique learning style and goals. Through a combination of structured exercises, performance practice, and theoretical exploration, I aim to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of music and the confidence to express themselves artistically.
Beyond technical proficiency, lessons also focus on developing confidence and stage presence through regular performance opportunities, including recitals and ensemble playing. These experiences not only showcase progress but also instill a sense of accomplishment and pride in each student. Ultimately, my goal is to inspire a lifelong passion for music and provide students with the skills and knowledge to enjoy and excel in their musical journey, whether for personal enjoyment or professional pursuits.
