About Olive
With 3 years of teaching experience and a BA in Music Theory specializing in guitar, I’ve developed a teaching style that bridges the gap between performance and production. My lessons are a mix of traditional technique and modern recording knowledge. We’ll explore fundamentals of music production, audio engineering, and home recording. You’ll learn how to craft tones using pedals, balance your sound with basic mixing, and capture it perfectly with smart microphone placement. I’ve worked with students at every stage—from early intermediate guitarists finding their footing to seasoned session players refining their artistry. My aim is always the same: to help each student discover and express their unique musical voice. I believe in creating well-rounded musicians who can play, produce, and perform with confidence. No matter where you are in your journey, you’ll leave lessons feeling more empowered. Together, let’s refine your sound, expand your skills, and take your artistry higher.

My teaching style is practical, performance-driven, and rooted in real-world experience. I believe guitarists learn best when they prepare for the situations they’ll face on stage. That’s why my lessons cover ensemble skills, band communication, and stage etiquette. Students learn how to project confidence and professionalism during live shows. Fingerstyle players learn how to adapt their intricate playing into group arrangements. Late bloomers find encouragement to grow in timing, stage comfort, and collaboration. We simulate live band settings so you can practice in a safe space before stepping out in public. Lessons are hands-on and interactive, focusing on listening and responding to other players. I want my students to feel at ease performing with others. By focusing on stage presence as well as technique, I create musicians ready to share their music. My goal is to help you step onto any stage prepared and confident.
