About Liam

I’m a singing tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Licentiate of Music in Voice. I specialize in working with adult beginners, hobbyists, and those returning to singing after a break. My lessons offer a low-pressure, encouraging space where you can learn at your own pace and feel comfortable exploring your voice. I focus on breathwork, vocal relaxation, and posture to help you sing with ease and confidence. Mindfulness in music is a key part of my teaching—it helps deepen your connection to songs and yourself. I guide students in developing a rich, expressive tone, tailored to their unique voice. I teach a variety of genres, including Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult styles. Singing, to me, is more than just music—it’s a form of self-care, creativity, and personal confidence. Whether you’re starting fresh or picking up singing again, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Let’s begin or restart your singing journey together—at any age. About the lesson

For The Quartet Player and The Fiddler personas, my teaching method centers on building strong stage confidence and authentic audience connection. We begin with breath control exercises to support vocal power and sustain notes without strain. Clear diction and proper posture are emphasized, ensuring every word reaches the audience crisply and with presence. Microphone technique is introduced early, helping students understand distance, angle, and volume control to avoid feedback and maintain clarity.

To develop stage charisma, I curate song choices that suit each persona’s unique style and strengths, encouraging personal expression through movement and gestures. Movement exercises help loosen up the body, allowing natural, confident gestures that enhance storytelling without distraction. We use video feedback regularly — watching performances to identify strengths and areas for growth. This visual tool builds self-awareness and helps students track their progress.

Stage presence drills, such as eye contact practice and controlled pacing, deepen audience engagement. Vocal stamina apps support endurance, enabling longer, more dynamic performances without vocal fatigue. Throughout, I focus on nurturing self-belief, reminding students that confidence grows through practice and positive mindset. Both The Quartet Player and The Fiddler leave lessons not just better singers, but compelling performers who own the stage with grace and energy.
