About Roan

I’m a singing tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Voice, and I’m passionate about helping students unlock the full potential of their voices. I believe singing is more than hitting the right notes—it’s about building confidence, expressing emotion, and finding joy in music. My lessons focus on breath control, vocal health, and expressive phrasing, giving singers the tools to perform with strength and heart. I love guiding students through different styles like Pop, Indie, R&B, and Contemporary Worship, showing how each genre brings out a new color in their voice. For those dreaming of the stage or studio, I offer live performance coaching to improve presence and ease. Together, we work on overcoming performance anxiety, transforming nervous energy into confidence. I’ve worked with shy beginners taking their very first step, teens exploring their sound, and aspiring recording artists polishing their craft. Each student gets a safe, encouraging space where mistakes are simply part of the journey. My approach blends structure with creativity, making every lesson both focused and fun. About the lesson

My teaching method is designed to help performers step onto the stage with confidence and presence. I focus on stage confidence, microphone technique, and audience engagement so every note and word truly connects. Breath control is central to our work—it fuels vocal power and helps maintain calm under the spotlight. Alongside this, we refine diction to ensure every lyric is clear and posture to project authority and ease.

For live performance, I introduce curated song choices that match each learner’s personality and vocal range. These selections aren’t just for practice—they’re tools for building self-belief and charisma. Movement exercises, from simple gestures to purposeful stage walks, help transform nervous energy into dynamic performance energy.

To track growth, I use video feedback so learners can see their progress and identify areas for improvement. Stage presence drills and vocal stamina apps are integrated into sessions, making practice modern and effective. Every session is structured but flexible, adapting to the performer’s goals and style.

I create a safe space to experiment, make mistakes, and grow bolder with every attempt. Each exercise is a step toward a stronger voice, a steadier presence, and a more magnetic connection with the crowd. Together, we’ll turn practice into performance—and performance into art.
