About Scarlett

I’m a singing tutor with over ten years of experience and an **Advanced Diploma in Singing**, and I love helping young children and early teens discover the joy of music. I use playful activities to teach pitch, rhythm, and vocal basics, turning concepts into fun challenges that make kids forget they’re even “practicing.” I specialize in **folk songs, Disney favorites, and musicals**, which are perfect for sparking creativity and keeping students engaged. Every session is tailored to build **confidence** and help kids find their unique voice, whether they’re shy beginners or eager performers. I encourage lots of **listening and mimicking**, so they develop strong ears for melody and harmony early on. We might stomp, clap, or act out a song’s story—because music comes alive when the whole body is involved. About the lesson

The Advanced Teen and The Quartet Player begin with daily **vocal warm-ups** that emphasize breath support, pitch accuracy, and controlled vibrato. Both personas explore **genre-crossing exercises**—singing pop riffs one day and classical phrases the next—to build **song adaptability** and stylistic awareness. For **musicality**, they record short phrases in a DAW like Logic or GarageBand, layering harmonies or experimenting with dynamics to understand how nuance shapes performance.

Pitch control is sharpened through **vocal apps** such as SingTrue or VoxTrain, which provide real-time feedback, while **metronomes** ensure rhythm precision in both solo lines and ensemble work. The Quartet Player focuses on **blending tones and harmonizing**, practicing with virtual choir tools to maintain intonation against complex arrangements. The Advanced Teen works on **emotional expression**, journaling song interpretations and rehearsing in front of mirrors or cameras to connect movement and feeling with voice.

Weekly “flex days” encourage **vocal flexibility**—students imitate contrasting voices, from soulful R\&B runs to crisp jazz scats, expanding range and agility. Confidence grows through **progress-sharing sessions**, where recordings are reviewed, and small wins celebrated. Both personas end sessions by singing their favorite songs, reinforcing joy and artistry as the foundation of their growth.
