About Alex
I have been working in classrooms and school systems for 13 years. I love creating safe, collaborative, and creative environments for students to thrive in. As a teacher, I enjoy spending time building unique relationships with each student to figure out how I can teach them best. My goal is for each student to have fun while learning. When I was a student, I struggled with school and I want to change that for as many students as I can.

A traditional classroom doesn’t meet the needs of all students. As a tutor, I help explain concepts and develop skills in multiple ways. I also focus on how these learned concepts and skills can be used cross-content. I create lessons to meet each student where they are at and create goals based on Common Core State Standards to be successful in their daily school classes. I can also work with classroom teachers to help enhance, pre-teach, and re-teach concepts, lessons and skills that they are learning in their classes.
